As summer is around the corner, it is a good time to think about our outdoor environment.

What ideas do you have to make our outside play area a safe and happy place to be for everyone in our school?

There has been some discussion about having new markings on the tarmaced area outside.

What do you think?

if i get board at play time Ithink it would be a good idear to have some fun activetice such as a maze and a GIANT snaks and laders.And I hope you will enjoy it.

I would like a giant chess board and pieces so people can play on it. I wish we had more footballs to play with at playtime.

As Calum said we should have peices for the games I think that is a verry good idea,alsoyear 5 and 6 should not be aloud to eat on there as it is for mrs McClean not for the year 5 and 6.

I think in art and other lesons we should be able to go on the field as many people get fustrated in there lesons when it is hot and stuffy inside so it whould be nice to be in the fresh air.

I think that we should have longer break times because then we can have more fresh air so we don’t get as fustraited and unsettled.

I think that there should be a sign on the doors you in at the start of the day because if there’s a new child starting school then they no wich door to go throo.

I like Laura’s idea of having separate areas for ‘quiet’ and ‘noisy’ play – this would allow people the opportunity to relax at breaktimes and lunchtimes in the quiet area, as well as release some energy in the noisy areas! Could these quiet/noisy areas be labelled with musical terms to remind everyone which area they are in? Piano (Soft/Quiet) and Forte (Loud)? What do you think?

We would like some little shiny rocks in the memorial garden to make it look nice and to play with. We think we need more footballs to play with too.

I tink that on the field it gets a bit crouded because of the football so i think we should only have one game of football each brake but seperate it into y1/2 at first brake, y3/4 at lunch time and y5/6 at last brake so it is fare.

We think that should be a place to go in winter out of the cold. There could be games there aswell. Also when its wet break instead of going into the classroom and making the class untidy, we can have a special room to go when its wet. x-xTally and Maria-x-x

I don’t really think it’s fair that the yr3&4s get to eat on the memorial because Mrs Mclean was a yr5/6 teacher and I think they should only take off the people who are littering and being naughty!
